This is my Guns And Roses final album cover for the 80's I chose the album Appetite for destruction This is my final cover I did do two different covers of this just to see which one I like the look of best. I decided the white one because it thought the contrast between the black font and the white background was really good and helped it to stand out so much more. I decided to photograph my own green eyes because in one of the songs called sweet child of mine it talks about a young girl eyes,'She's got eyes of the bluest skies As if they thought of rain I'd hate to look into those eyes
And see an ounce of pain.''
Even know my eyes are not the bluest they do have a little bit of blue in and i thought it related well to that piece of music,I choose this idea for another reason as well in another song Paradise City, Because it says a lot about ''where the grass is green and the girls are pretty.'' and I thought with the colour of my bright greens eye that would work quite well as well.
I think they this is a really nice cover because it grabs your attention so fast because it is simple with these bright green eyes, looking at you and i think that it is really effective.
I did not think that the red one was as effective, i did not like the red i thought it would be a good idea because it would relate to the colour of roses but it just didn't look right to me so i decided to change, i also change the shape of me eyes photos so that it jumped out more on the white one and made it a lot more effective and less messy looking.
This is my album cover for the 70's Album Wish you Were Here by Pink Floyd.
I really love this photo because even know it wasn't planned to the letter it worked out more for me, definitely for the album cover. Again this is me in the photo i always carry my camera around so i can catch these little things, in the top left corner just where the text starts you can see there is a little love heart in the leaf, i spotted this when i was out walking with my boyfriend and i had to stop and take this photo and I am glad I did. I really love the colours in this photo and i think because of the love heat and because there is only one set of boots in the leafs it makes it feel lonely and more effect for this album cover.
This is my album cover for the 60's For the rolling stones album Let it Bleed.
I did not think that the original album cover was very effective at all it just didn't work for the name or the band I don't think it worked at all. I thought this would be better because it relates to the name of the album a lot i noticed in the 60's they wrote a lot about sex and drugs so i tried to relate to that give it the 60's feel when you look at it. I decided to colour pop it to make it more effective and jump out a little more and i wanted the relate heart to stand out more to relate to the album cover name.
